Earlier this year the LeFrak-Friedberg Scholars had a chance to learn about how to launch a product at Fiduciary Trust for the annual Scholar Summit in New York. The students had to come together to design an app that solved a problem in the world.
Dr. Marina Catallozzi is the Chief Health Officer at Barnard College, and she is an adolescent medicine specialist. 🩺 Dr. Catallozzi has been instrumental in the development of the Francine A. LeFrak Foundation Center for Well-Being at Barnard.

The Student Ambassadors, at The Francine A. LeFrak Foundation Center for Well-Being at Barnard College, came together to teach financial literacy skills to high school students at The Young Women's Leadership School in the Bronx. This empowers them to overcome life's challenges.

Petra is studying International Economics at Texas Christian University, and interning at Underwriters Laboratories in California this summer. She is destined for GREATNESS!
These are the first graduates of the Francine A. LeFrak Foundation Financial Wellness Program, led by the LeFrak Center Student Ambassadors at Barnard. This program provided 17 young women from the Young Women’s Leadership School, in the Bronx, with financial literacy basics.

Grace studied chemical engineering at Lehigh University, and she recently accepted an offer from Croda Inc., a British Chemical Company. 🎉 The sky is the limit for her!
Jean Claude is studying Computer Science at Hendrix College, and he is passionate about using technology to create solutions to poverty. This young man is going to make a big impact in the world. 🫶
Winny graduated with her degree in nursing & is looking forward to beginning her career! Last summer, she assisted with fistula surgeries, & after learning the devastating impact of fistulas on African women, she committed herself to educating her community & becoming a resource.
After attending the first LeFrak-Friedberg Scholar Summit in January 2020, Emmanuel was inspired to apply to the Wharton School of Business. This year, he graduated with his Bachelor’s in Economics and will be joining Deutsche Bank as a full-time analyst.
Gato just finished his senior year at Wesleyan and was offered a full scholarship for his Master’s in Integrative Science. 🎓 This summer Gato will return to Rwanda before beginning his studies in August. We are so proud of his accomplishments! 👏
Today, let us remember and honor the fallen soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines who gave their lives to protect our way of life. They are the true heroes, and their legacy will forever be etched in our hearts. 🇺🇸
Lumen Constance is currently studying Pre-Med at Wesleyan University, and she will be studying neuroscience as a research intern this summer. 🩺Constance hopes to return to Rwanda one day to help people with learning disabilities improve their academic performance.
