Two things can be true at the same time: - We can offer the folks cleaning up our city kindness and grace, knowing they are working hard. - We can hold the city accountable for ensuring the streets are cleaned up quickly so ppl are safe AND we can resume business/earn a living.

Last October, a driver hit a kid in a crosswalk in DC. He had 60 outstanding tickets totaling $14,988, 90%-ish of which were for failure to stop at a stop sign. Luckily, this kid was able to walk away. Reminder: no one is getting ticketed for going 3-10mph over the speed limit.
