First Younger Members (under age 30) meeting of @_PGSupport is Wednesday. Topic: Addressing the financial losses, emotional harm and shame. #meetingsmakeit
Meetings Update: Since we’ve had a recent influx of younger members, PGSG will be adding two additional meetings specifically designed to address the challenges encountered by younger people in recovery. The meetings will be for members who are under 30.
It was amazing to host our most recent Guest Speaker this morning with the fantastic @laurengreutman sharing her journey in recovery. Lauren’s story of compulsive spending resonated a lot within the group today. Thank you for your time, Lauren ❤️
Friday Topic: Name 3-4 personal traits/strengths that have helped you with your recovery.
Thursday Topic - Control Other than gambling, what issues have you had with control while in active addiction. Has it changed since entering recovery?
Wednesday Topic: What lengths would you go to for gambling? What lengths are you willing to go to for recovery
Huge congratulations to our very own @DaveYGrampy on his recent milestone. For the last two years he has dedicated himself to recovering from this insidious addiction and is now reaping the rewards ❤️
Thursday Topic: Gratitude Name 3 things you are grateful for today. If time permits discuss gratitude in relation to active addiction vs recovery.
Tuesday Topic: We normally set goals this time of year to better ourselves and our life in recovery is no different. Name one thing you feel you have done well with since you began recovery and name one thing you'd like to improve on this year.
Friday Topic: Stigma Did you feel disappointed, ashamed, embarrassed, guilty, stupid and weak whilst in active addiction. Do you still carry some of these feelings?
Thursday Topic: Uncovering our "character defects" in Recovery What other "character defects" have you uncovered since you started recovery? How did you tackle those while working through your gambling recovery? How have being aware of them helped or hindered your recovery?"
