If you can't rely on newspapers pumped full of cash by a shadowy investor connected to the Saudi state concealing his identity through a tax haven for quality journalism, who CAN you trust?

Are Literary festivals worth going to if you want to meet agents/other writers - or is it just a place for authors to sell their books? #WritingCommunity #writers #writerslife

Nice. 5k in a day is some going!

Wrote 5,000 words today. My fingers flew across my keyboard, struggled to match my mind’s pace. Me (typing): This is Me (typing): what Me (typing): I love. #WritingCommunity #NaNoWriMo

Great to find writers offering guidance and invitations for nature connection. Aho! #natureconnection #meditation

Boom

Congrats @nadiawhittomeMP for securing debate on teaching climate & nature & big thanks to @_TeachtheFuture. I talked about one of my passions: a new GCSE in natural history Learning to know nature & wildlife is a step to first loving it & then protecting it🌿🐝🦔 @curlewcalls

Today I'm studying a module from a freelance journalism course. What are you up to? #writing #writerslife #WritingCommunity

It's on the list

I think we will, in future years, consider this as our generation’s Whitsun Weddings. It certainly deserves as a canonical a role in people’s reading, hearts.

today, I woke up and didn’t have a visceral, bodily aversion to possibly writing a poem. for the last year, I have felt wildly disconnected from the things I love & I hope this means there’s some kind of healing (slowly) happening. hope that’s true for many of us 🌱

On Monday, after a year away from writing due to gnarly surgery, I started again. The alarm is back to being set, the morning routines back in place and slowly, ever so slowly, I am getting back into the swing of things #WritingCommunity

A really impressive piece looking into the vinyl industry <3

MORNING! 📀 I've been working on this deep-dive into what's going on with vinyl since June (!!), focusing on how things have changed since the pandemic/Brexit - with diff perspectives on how/if we can save the format. Click inside for my magnum opus👇 mixmag.net/feature/vinyl-…

Found this to be quite interesting. Every day's a school day 💚

Those defending plantation forestry commonly say "But monocultures are a thing of the past, now 30% of any new plantation must be native." What that means is a thin curtain of non-wild 'native' trees like alder to hide what will *still* be a deadzone. Window dressing is all.

Rilke describes grief like “pushing through solid rock in flint like layers, as the ore lies, alone; I am such a long way in I see no way through”. Reading his words helps me appreciate how little western culture understands grief and it’s importance 🍂 #grief #poetrycommunity
