The wrong Rx for America: @POTUS Trump's "Great Healthcare Plan." Rather than stifling U.S. research funding, he should lower patients' costs by reforming PBMs (middlemen) & hospitals that abuse 340B, & he should support direct-to-patient drug purchases & end foreign freeloading.
The verdict on @POTUS Trump's "Great Healthcare Plan" is not great: Extending "Most Favored Nation" pricing to all medicines across Medicare & Medicaid would slash global R&D spending by nearly half. The result: 500 fewer new drugs and 6.6 million lives lost over a decade.
