Everyone's projects are amazing!! Be proud!! #eng626f15

@jt_beta @teniez56 Is the search tailored to specific classes or overall LMS/all classes? #eng626f15

@jt_beta @teniez56 Note-taking for vids is def the future. Visual + textual component for 2 diff types of learners. #eng626f15

@mscbeau @KirsiAnneli @MasterLuke7 @JayDubleve Cool that the discussion board's focus is text, but presented in a modern way. #eng61625

@mscbeau @KirsiAnneli @MasterLuke7 @JayDubleve Your design so far is great -- like an already branded LMS. Makes more believable! #eng616f15

Text to visual space = important! Want a balance. Visual/design is what can add a personal touch and make the LMS approachable. #eng626f15

Explore. Look @ competition -- what do you like/dislike about their sites? Pay attention and use those notes for your design. #eng626f15

Must consider how long it takes site to load! Most people switch away if it takes more than 3-5 seconds. Crazy! #eng626f15

Don't create everything from scratch. Plenty of outside resources/tools can be incorporated and serve students well. #eng626f15

Menus need to be clear so students know how to appropriately navigate. Too basic better than cluttered even if more time needed. #eng626f15

Make purpose of tools KNOWN. Will aid interface flow and help students understand why component is useful for class. #eng626f15

Also need to include instructions for tools--don't assume knowledge of all users. Instructions can prevent ?s to teachers. #eng626f15

Part of design should include/consider "directions/instructions" for users. (How to go from A to B and why in least clicks!) #eng626f15

Design challenge: not making interface/tools do EVERYTHING for users; need to be functional but let users work on their own. #eng626f15

Good questions to keep in mind: Do teachers have to adjust lessons to the LMS? Does the LMS make all courses work the same way? #eng626f15

Like students, faculty want their voices to be heard, too! Not just for feedback, but for communicating/connecting to students #eng626f15

"Universal design" may help LMS work for ALL teachers rather than 1 teacher for 1 course. Promotes applicability, not specificity #eng626f15

Important to look @ what students AND teachers want and think an LMS needs. Teachers' needs may not accommodate students' needs. #eng626f15
