Getting back to this, check out this PR: github.com/intercellular/… it's a plugin system and one of the examples is a small library that helps with generating markup. The other example is makes $update propagate recursively into child components.
Fun fact: I originally wrote celljs just to build this Jasonette-web app. But turns out you can use it to build anything!
