Fast forward to now: I've been working at Amazon for over a year as a Support Engineer. I live in Seattle in an awesome apartment all by myself. I actually have a career again. We prove that you can overcome what seems like insurmountable odds. Congrats!
That is so awesome! 5 1/2 years ago I was on the brink of death from kidney disease, ready to refuse treatment because I didn't see a future for myself. I was in my 30s living with my mother, completely dependent on people.

It’s interesting to note that life never leaves us stranded. If life hands us a problem, it also hands us the abilities to meet those problems. With this I say to you, don’t ever doubt yourself, your abilities or ideas because you have what it takes to bring it to fruition!

It happened. Today I was offered a Front-End Developer role and I will be relocating to Seattle. Words can't even express how I feel. I turned the pain that I felt losing my father into motivation. All of the doubts, the effort that I put in, I can now say I am an engineer. Wow.

I think it took me about an hour but I just figured out an algorithm that calculates how many Friday the 13ths there are in any given year, in Python. FYI, there’s one coming up this Friday. lol #100DaysOfCode #CodeNewbie
