Corporates don’t guess, they track. What works gets funded. What flops gets cut. Creatives? We “feel” our way through. Start measuring impact. Emotion and analytics can coexist. Data will always beat ego, anyday!
In corporate orgs, roles are clear. In creative teams, it’s vibes and vibes alone. Who’s leading? Who’s executing? Who’s reviewing? If everyone is everything, no one is anything. Prioritize roles over heroes!
Creatives crave freedom, but freedom without systems leads to chaos. Corporates thrive on repeatable success. They build SOPs, not vibes. Start documenting what works. Make your magic scalable.
The corporate world builds systems. The creative world builds vibes. One scales, one burns out. Maybe it’s time we start learning from boardrooms, not just breaking their rules.
It took me a while, but one of the most important lessons I’ve learned in film is that nobody will ever give you what you deserve. Even when it seems super obvious…Your Credit, Your Worth, The budget, etc. So you have to learn to Fight without ever feeling guilty.
