Ok, I guess this is going to be my Darwin Adventures thread. It may be slightly chaotic, but really, would you expect anything less?
OMG. Darwin Airport has Plumed Whistling-Ducks on the carpet!!! PANTS DUCKS ON THE CARPET!!! Yes, I yelled that out loud in a crowded airport at 2am and yes people looked at me like I was a lunatic. #BirdsWithPants

An unexpected highlight from Bolivia was incredible views of the Short-tailed Pygmy-Tyrant; the SMALLEST Passerine in the world! An adorable little ball, with its stumpy little tail and big eyes! A bit of a cutie!

Excellent visibility this morning driving north from Brewarrina. Not.
I’m staying in Brewarrina at the moment for work and there are Red-tails up here! I can hear them calling this morning and it is so nice! I’ve not seen this subspecies before so hopefully I can get a better look that the two flyovers from last night.

Can anyone recommend a comfy swag mattress? Or camping mattress that can also be shoved in a swag? I need an upgrade.
Another reminder that it’s not just @Bunnings that sells wildlife-killing rat baits, but the majority of sales are through @Coles and @woolworths. Our research showed these anticoagulant baits kill reptiles, birds and mammals. Call on retailers to stop selling these products!
Mammally peeps, who made these toof marks on my mum’s loquat tree? The resident Brushy? Or is someone more exciting lurking about? We’ve not seen evidence of sap-harvesting before so it’s pretty cool!
