It was great to join For The Long Term for their D.C. Forum. When we come together and invest our pensions in smart and prudent ways, we can solve workers’ biggest challenges — from housing, to infrastructure and more — while providing for a secure retirement for all.
Last week 30+ CDCs & nonprofit housing orgs sent a letter of support for the Community Opportunity to Purchase Act to the Speaker and HPD. We need to add COPA to our toolbox to preserve and create more truly affordable housing. I'm thankful for their support, now let's pass it!
Who knew that so many New Yorkers don't want to live in a neoliberal dystopia?
Union members worked tirelessly to help drive the big wins we saw last night across the country - and workers elected leaders who will help build an economy for people, not billionaire bosses. When candidates stand with workers, they win! aflcio.org/press/releases…

Kent Wong was the best of our movement. He was a trailblazer for labor, immigrant, civil, and human rights everywhere he went – in California, the House of Labor, and all around the world. My heart is with his family and the generations of workers touched by his life and legacy.
FYI- if your “abundance” isn’t “abundance” for workers, it isn’t abundance at all, it’s actually just sparkling neoliberalism
We aren't learning.
Growing worker- and community-owned enterprises is more important now than ever before. Sharing some thoughts on how to do it at the 2025 Cooperative IMPACT Conference. Come say hi if you're attending the event! #IMPACTcon25
Five years after I put this article together for @DissentMag, we’re still living in the Municipalist Moment. The question of how to leverage local power into systemic change is more important than ever before. LFG. cc @municipalists @DemSocialists @nycDSA dissentmagazine.org/article/the-mu…

The Municipalist Moment - Dissent Magazine
Movements on the left are increasingly looking to build power at the local level. The question is how to leverage municipal gains to transform the system at expanding scales.
Until we pass FDR's economic bill of rights the 1% will continue to live in extraordinary abundance while the working class struggles to survive. Medicare for All, a living wage, a free education, rent control & Social Security expansion - it ain't complicated & it ain't radical.
Yep. This is what millions of people who participated in anti-globalization protests from the 1994 Zapatista rebellion to the 1999 Seattle anti-WTO protests onward were saying. Liberalism is some wild historical amnesia…
This is actually an extraordinary admission to make for a US Vice President Vance explains that "the idea of globalization was that rich countries would move further up the value chain while the poor countries made the simpler things." But he laments…
“If anyone is being detained or removed based on the administration’s assertion that it can do so without judicial review or due process,” said Columbia law professor Jamal Greene, “the president is asserting dictatorial power and ‘constitutional crisis’ doesn’t capture the…
While Trump appoints 13 billionaires to his cabinet and Musk, Bezos and Zuckerberg see their wealth increase by $217 billion since the election, 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, 25% of seniors live on $15g or less and millions cannot afford rent. SAY NO TO OLIGARCHY.
