The hospital used to have 9 doctors covering one night 4 years ago. Then the county like other counties stopped employing doctors in the pretense that they do not have a budget. The hospitals has two intern doctors now. Unimaginable coz they used to have 18 interns any year.
Webuye District Hospital is a KEY hospital in Bungoma County. As I tweet this, it has over 200 admitted patients, in the general wards alone & 44 in the private wing. The SAD bit is, it only has one Doctor for the night shift serving all the 244 patients. What is wrong here?
