This. Or even just “photographed.” Collaboration doesn’t mean better. It’s okay to make images of people, without claiming they have any meaningful authorship of the work. “Collaboration” getting thrown so readily without photographic authorial hierarchies being examined 🙄

Photographers can you maybe think twice before using the words 'collaborated with' in project descriptions. A lot of the time what you really mean is 'used'.

the life in the margins photography exhibition at the barbican is beautifully curated (even if I have some mixed feelings about some of the works). fave bit was seeing some of the original artefacts Jim Goldberg collected for Raised by Wolves (including The Jacket).
