really shaken by this - this was a beautiful project of resilience and material support among and for people trapped in northern gaza with little predictable access to food. set up by local young people with farming backgrounds. israeli forces murdered one of them today

The idea of emotions as individual is constructed, some feelings simply cannot be accessed in the absence of others & a society built on values of individualism is a society that relies on dissociation in moments of overwhelming horror which would otherwise move beings to revolt.
Honestly, it should just be a general practice at this point to re-evaluate your relationship to consumption and reduce where you can, cause it's pretty much all built on blood.
