The Mills College Board of Trustees approved a deal with NU to buy Mills for a price less than one of its historic buildings. They also agreed for Mills to pay NU $50 MILLION if NU pulls out for any reason. Follow me for more. #investigateMills #BOTishellasus #WTFBeth

Professor Matthew Hendricks outlines how to #savemills: "Largely because of their own mismanagement, Mills’ current administration is now trying to force the sale of the college. But Mills could and should be saved." mercurynews.com/2022/02/16/opi…

Opinion: Mills College spent more on administration than instruction

Because of mismanagement, leaders are now trying to force the sale of the school, but it could and should be saved.

I asked Taylor about Birds Aren't Real on The Daily today. Yes, Birds Aren't Real. Lots of surprising turns in her interview with the founder of the 'movement.'

👏 Love this: After all, without a coherent understanding of a system, and how participants of that system think and feel, it's unlikely you will be able to intervene effectively to fix that system. -@sladner

Student Tsion McYates - The Center for Educational equity proposal is a brilliant move, to retain Mills and use it as a place where we can have revolutionary thought researched because that's the kind of place that the Bay area is. #SaveMills #All4Mills BOTLS

In solidarity, as students, faculty, staff, and alums who want to save Mills College, we demand that the Board of Trustees: • STOP THE TRANSITION • HALT ALL VOTES • RELEASE ALL FINANCIALS • EXPLORE ALL paths to keep Mills a degree-granting college. #SAVEMILLS #MillsCollege

Love this between #backable author @suneel and his second grade son each morning (just pre-ordered the book): Me: “What’s the meaning of life?” Sammy: “To find your gift.” Me: “And what’s the purpose of life?” Sammy: “To give it away.”

Cultural blindness — the tendency for members of the privileged in any group to think of themselves as “average.” It's an easy leap from there to believing that anyone with less privilege is somehow "below average," rather than the truth: that everyone's contexts are different.

Climate Change is such an inadequate term. It changes where rain falls, where things grow, where life lives, where human habitation viable. It changes color of planet, chemistry of oceans, redraws coastlines, reroutes ocean currents, alters plant physiology. Everything's changing
