i have insider information that at least three of the qualifying obwc maps were made with significant AI assistance via a private tool. none of the "experienced" judges spotted this. i have not been granted permission to speak on this, but i felt everyone should know.
remember when people were freaking out about this like we havent had fully ai generated RANKED sets since 2022🙊

This will not replace actually good maps btw so I don't see why worry Players won't (and don't rly as is) care who made the map 95% of the time, and if they did care then u r most likely not replicable to begin with, or they got pp on ur map

Mapping is like making analogies because you have to make something (the map) represent another thing (the music)
mapping is chemistry, you have a composition of atoms, in mapping you have a composition of objects (slider,circle,even spinner), add heat (hitsound,sv) and get new product. consider certain slider, chlorine and sodium is dangerous on its own but is good together just like slider

osu mapping is like math. You don't appreciate the map's components until you have understood the foundational concepts that were built from the map. A horizontal slider is just a horizontal slider to a new mapper. But, as you see more maps, it extends past that. It has purpose.
