This isn’t talked about anywhere near enough. @randfish book opened my eyes to this so much back in the day. So very happy to be bootstrapped!

Was talking recently to a founder who sold his VC-backed business for $55 million. Massive success, right?! He must be rich, right?! He walked away with $250,000. Y'all, the top-line number isn't everything.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I have no idea why everyone thinks @intercom is so great. The email builder is terrible, the Series builder equally bad, the User lists/management the same. So much promise, so many little design misses…

Proud of you mate, both for having the self awareness to understand what was going on, and for the courage to talk about what we often hide @ryanbonnici

A few years ago, I became the man I thought I always wanted to be. I was 29 and had worked my butt off to reach the C-suite, becoming chief marketing officer of @G2dotcom. 👇🏼

Through doing (and working with people doing) SEO at various B2B SaaS companies, I developed a framework for how to think about and approach it. I called it the SEO Pyramid. The folks @CXLdotcom were kind enough to let me write about it on their blog. cxl.com/blog/saas-keyw…

I’m amazed the thing still works. That’s insane scaling for any software company, yet alone a video conferencing one...

Approximately 3-4 times per week, I accidentally type the winky-face emoji instead of the smiley-face emoji to my colleagues on Slack. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be fired soon...

I wrote an article about bootstrapping vs taking VC funding for the Chartmogul blog. For a thousand reasons, it's an interesting time for this to be published, but here it is regardless: blog.chartmogul.com/bootstrap-vc-f…

It’s surprising how much working with really good people teaches you. I find myself constantly surprised by how much knowledge I’ve gained on a particular topic just by being around as awesome people did the work... Even if I had nothing to do with it. Thanks former coworkers!

Awesome read on an alternative path to VC funding for SaaS businesses.

Some Buffer company news to share: We've spent $3.3 million buying out our main VC investors. This is something I've been eager (and nervous) to share publicly. Here are all the details, including process and numbers. open.buffer.com/buying-out-inv…
