Thanks to local and regional partners for making sure our #SafeRoutesToSchool bike safety class graduates will have their own helmets to take home! @TJCOGnc @TriangleTDM @BikeDurham @NCDOT @LEM_Helmets

We are so thankful that the Triangle J. Council of Governments donated 500 youth helmets for Durham’s Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program! Our dream of giving each SRTS bicycle education course graduate a free helmet will finally be a reality this spring and summer.

.@CityofDurhamNC Fewer traffic fatalities is not out of reach, despite nationwide trends. We just need commitment from our local leaders. Then, dedicated staff and resources. Let’s slow down cars and improve safety for pedestrians and bicyclists in Durham.

.@CityofDurhamNC please continue to support and expand the city-sponsored Bull-E-Bike program! I trust @movesafedurham to show you the data on why this should be a permanent program.

The Bull E-Bike Pilot is in its final stages. We are glad to have had over 60 participants complete the program and track their trips with the pilot's phone app. Keep following our journey to see what's next, but until then, enjoy this great photo from participant Yuridia.

.@NCDOT @CityofDurhamNC I think you've confused who your primary audience is on this campaign... let's get this for a billboard instead.

It’s a great partnership. We’re looking forward to being back at @GlennPride for bike riding safety classes in the Spring!

We are so grateful to Bike Durham, the Durham Bike Coop, the City of Durham, the Durham Fire Department, and the NCDOT who partnered together to donate 25 beautiful bikes to our students who participated in the 4th grade bike lessons last year! Thank you!

If you don't have a plan for building "communities" and not just a series of houses, then none of this will be affordable, equitable, or environmentally sustainable.

But actually the 94-6 percentage split isn't in statute. It's a choice of NCDOT/ the STI workgroup. (Clarifying cuz it's important to know current admin can easily fix this 😊)

A local Durham encounter has me FIRED UP😤. It's been said before, and not often enough: "you can't be a bike advocate without being a transit advocate." Move beyond #transportationequity towards dignity, respect, and #mobilityjustice.

If there was a Darwin Award for transportation policy, the proposed gas tax suspension would be a top contender: ☑️ Disproportionately helps owners of oversized, inefficient cars ☑️ Regressive ☑️ Blows a hole in the Highway Trust Fund ☑️ Likely to go unnoticed by beneficiaries
