All those rate limiting in so underrated while designing API's.
It's always a good idea to rewrite a code rather than spending too much time on refactoring.
The Internet is flooded with AI tools which is great and it helps a lot but it's pretty much the same when the internet was flooded with crypto and then comes a saturation point.
Recently I have tried ChatGPT to create a microservice architecture which went pretty well.
Writing code documents is so underrated. You actually figured a lot of stuff doing that.
Recently implemented circuit breaking and retry in microservices and it changed the game how I used to develop API's.
Over optimization of your code before your first MVP is a bad idea.
Adding proper status code in your API response is actually a good idea.
Working on multiple aspects in a project such as deployment, UI, backend and creating scripts to smoothen the process will help you a lot to learn something new.
The more you focus on the requirements the less you have to spend time on the code.
Recently I watched a video on "How to get promoted" and one thing which I learned the most is Extreme ownership and being an expert in your area. #promotion #Growth
As a full stack developer you get a very less chance to work on a single stack for a week. But this time I have started working on the backend which covers multiple things like - Creating API for multiple teams - Setting up devops pipeline - Lots of refactoring
It's always a good idea to follow the CAP theorem while designing distributed systems. #systemdesign #design
Things to remember while creating API's - - Security - Versioning - Filtering - Searching - Global response formatting - Global exception handlers These points could be helpful to consider while creating new API's. Let me know if I miss anything
