I probably tweet this every few weeks but it feels like shit got dystopian really fast the past few years
Jumpscared by my own map at the YDSA meeting tonight...
The State DFL was so terrified of the rise in democratic socialism in Minneapolis, that they sent out a mailer advocating for one DFL-endorsed candidate over the other DFL-endorsed candidates. They succeeded in pushing Wilson down to 4th place

Wow just realized I think turnout was barely higher this election compared to 2021 in Minneapolis? At least a higher total vote count this year?
I have updated to this to show results by ward now too for Mayor and Park Board. Use horizontally if on mobile for now

Elections are one tool in the democratic toolkit - yesterday it was voting, and tomorrow we will keep organizing. I am proud to have run this race with the support of @TwinCitiesDSA, and to continue building with my political home (tcdsa.org/joindsa🌹).
I am so proud of the work we have done on the campaign trail, and incredibly grateful for all the relationships we built along the way. Together, we set a new standard for park board campaigns and political campaigning city-wide.
very disappointed to see michael wilson did not win for parks at large. he ran an incredible campaign and i thought he was the most exciting park board candidate with such passion and knowledge. did not expect this outcome

Thank you, Minneapolis! While this wasn’t the outcome we wanted, I am incredibly grateful to every single person who supported our grassroots campaign. I’ll keep fighting alongside you to build the city we deserve. Onward.
It's taking me forever to make this map because there are too many random people running for some of these seats. Need to up that filing fee and petition count or however it works....
I need national DSA people to know that a centrist dem took out another centrist dem (kinda simplifying this here) using Zohran style aeshetics for a logo and campaign ads (it wasn't just this though, but it's noticeable)
Kaohly Vang Her speaks after winning the race for St. Paul mayor. Vang Her will be the first woman and the first Hmong American to hold the position. @SahanJournal
Y'all I'm trying to make the map now I got too busy and had no where to work on it at lmao
MELVIN CARTER LOST???
Kaohly Her shocks St. Paul. Becomes the citiy’s first female mayor after defeating two term incumbent Melvin Carter.
