Check out this Bug Cloud! The @UMBS Field Studies of Insects class went sampling at night with lights to learn about different collection techniques and insect taxonomy. The big moth is an elm sphinx, Ceratomia amyntor. The big beetle is a goldsmith beetle, Cotalpa lanigera.

INSPIRING DEDICATION: UMBS Stewards started building a boardwalk July 3 over a flooded hiking trail along Carp Creek Gorge. The volunteer corps of friends & neighbors formed in the late ‘90s to help the @UMich field research station with property projects. myumi.ch/r8E6M
