It has been a rough year. But I made it till October, till this weekend, till this window of time where I felt a kind of peace I could not imagine I was capable of. The next time it gets rough, I know what I'm going to tell myself - make it till October.
The older I get, the more I realize that life will test you with the same challenge until you learn the lesson. The same fight in every relationship. The same burnout in every job. The same regret in every missed chance. Until you do the inner work, the outer world won’t change.

Obsession is a talent itself. Not everyone can be intense. If you are intense, then I have just one advice for you: redirect that energy away from people and focus it on a skill, an interest, a business. People are not projects you can own.
No one talks about how being avoidant can benefit you in every relationship other than your romantic one because being easygoing and chill and non reactive and undemanding makes you fun and good to have around, and this is what avoidance (in its most well adjusted form) blesses…
