Newspapers need to drastically recreate their presence in the community. They need to become part of the social network.

Newspapers should provide the tools to create news to everyone in their community. Schools, local government, chamber of commerce, etc.

One of the biggest things holding back newspapers is their editorial systems. Almost all of them still put print first.


Why do grocery stores still print out receipts? Great business opp there. Especially when you tie-in coupons and advertising.


Everyone says newsrooms need to get up to speed technologically, but it's their advertising departments that are truly clueless.
