I agree that it reads like poetry, however the paratext says that it is a "treated novel" which I think works to classify it
I agree, the story is really well written and it is just as important as the multimodal aspects (unlike The Unfortunates).
- but I think it still would have worked if it was mixed in with normal text. Either way, it is impressive.
