This new @DHSCgovuk guidance provides 3 conversation prompts for frontline practitioners to explore a parent or carer’s relationship with their baby, and a 3-step framework for using them to help identify #ParentInfant relationship difficulties. Read more: gov.uk/government/pub…
The two best places to check your baby isn’t getting too hot: (1) chest (2) back of the neck. If baby’s skin is hot or sweaty here, remove a layer of bedding or clothing. You don’t need to worry if their hands and/or feet are cooler – this is normal for babies.
In an emergency, you may not have access to a cot or Moses basket. If you have a pram carrycot or travel cot, these are good alternatives because they are still firm and flat. For more advice about safer sleep in emergency situations, download our guide: bit.ly/44TJExz
