“Kung nag-sorry na lang kasi siya.” You don’t get the point, do you? Pura Luka Vega got arrested and is facing a lawsuit because some people’s belief was hurt. Pura did not steal millions of funds nor has they murdered anyone. Your belief should not be the standard for justice.
So if you steal millions, you get elected into office. But if you do drag that offends a belief, you get arrested? Wow.
I don’t agree with the intent of Pura Luka’s drag performance of Jesus but I will stop at that. No need to be condemning people. Si Duterte nga minura si Jesus at sinabihan na tanga e walang imik naman ang marami. Better for us to converse more in a level headed manner.
I only saw a performance done to elicit polarising reactions. I wasn’t offended yet there were some who were. In promoting inclusivity, the first step is to not invalidate our individual truths. The more we try to be objective, the more subjective people get.
