At 6pm on the 15th January, Antiquum Documentum will be holding a Sermon & Evensong according to the 1559 Book of Common Prayer commemorating the Coronation of Elizabeth I @StBartholomews. This will feature contemporary music, ceremonial as well as a sermon about the coronation.

It was a delight to stage a reconstruction of the Litany & Communion from the 1549 BCP on Saturday @StBartholomews, @WalkerMarcus preached the Sermon on Obedience from the 1547 Book Homilies. Music included little known repertoire from the Hammond & Lumley Partbooks.

At 5pm on Saturday the 26th July in collaboration with @StBartholomews, we will be holding a reconstruction of the Litany and Communion services from the 1549 Prayer Book, featuring contemporary music and preaching! Free entry to this historic service.

Antiquum Documentum are pleased to present a concert to celebrate the launch of the new book 'Light on Darkness: The Untold Story of the Liturgy' (Cosima Clara Gillhammer, Reaktion Publishers). The programme includes composers connected to the such as Palestrina, Byrd, and Weir.

We are delighted to launch our latest liturgical project: Candlemas - Mass & Procession, this time we are fortunate to be collaborating with @StBartholomews in London. There will be polphony from Old Hall manuscript. The service is at 7pm and the bar will be open afterwards.
We are excited for our first recital of our Michaelmas Recital series this evening! Local young organist Alexander Trowell will perform an organ recital on our brilliant three manual Hill organ at 7pm tonight. Would love to see many there!
Excited to be playing an all English programme (except Mendelssohn who is nearly English), with a mixture of 16th century and Romantic works, all on my favourite organ ever at Christ Church, Streatham @church87054.

Has been lovely to return to Winchester Cathedral today for a lunchtime concert in the Lady Chapel singing Tudor polyphony and chant. It was delightful to have a full house and lots of lovely feedback!
We are excited to be giving a free lunch time concert @WinCathedral this Tuesday (16/07) at 1:15pm of Tudor polyphony including some of Merbecke’s funeral sentences, such as this video, “I know my redeemer liveth”, presented here with reconstructed historic pronunciation.
