Spent most of the weekend and Monday in a depression fog re: the state of the world. My students had an assignment due today so I gave the whole class an extension because of mess downtown.

Public service announcement: be kind to the customer service folks who have unwittingly become responsible for enforcing provincial gov policy.

Dinner out tonight. Hostess asked for vax cards and ID. "Right here," we said. And she seemed so relieved we weren't rude about it. "Thanks for being so nice, most people are mad at me." The bar is so low right now, friends. Whatever your worldview, be kind.

I am all rage and grief today with nowhere to put it so this is my story: last year I was 18 weeks into a very wanted pregnancy when I learned that the baby I was carrying had a catastrophic, fatal diagnosis—triploidy—and I had three “options” for moving forward.


My next tattoo will be "A thesis statement must make an argument. How do you know if it's an argument? It's a statement that someone could disagree with and take the opposite position." Because I've been saying/writing it for 5 years. 🙃

K so I love that Harry Styles has been experiencing with clothing styles, wearing items coded as feminine. But it’s also SO frustrating because racialized non-binary folks has been leading this for so long - as part of their identities - but are not given the same credit
