First pass prototype complete. Got all the gears worked out as well as the PID control optimized specifically for quick 90 degree rotations as fast and as smooth as possible. It now takes Tilta CPL 1/4 of a second to switch with minimal noise. Shrink electronics down next...

Yeah. At this point most of the sound you head is from the filter bearing itself. I am not quite sure how it's built inside. Tried to open it once but looked like they use thread locker and I did not want to break it.
What’s the purpose of both polarized and non polarized images for photometric stereo imaging?
So you can easily separate view dependent (Specular) components from view independent (Diffuse).
