It doesn't matter how long I've been around the webdev community, a funny error page will always get a laugh. Well played @DnDBeyond
So many of the great software engineers I consider fantastic "software architects" share this one thing: They build (throwaway) prototypes to prove their point / showcase their ideas. A lot! So much easier to reason about concrete code than abstract ideas.
We only rate dogs. This is a Golden-Toed Tiny Cow. Please just send dogs so we can all moo-ve on. Thank you… 13/10
Today, I received a violation notice from my HOA for “weeds growing in driveway”so I asked @OpenAI ChatGPT to write a Shakespearean-style letter apologizing for the violation and sent it via email to my HOA… To the Honorable Members of the [Redacted] Homeowners Association,…
The most productive dev I work with on a day to day basis is named Bill. He is a typical 8-5 type of dev. If he was told to be “hardcore” and work long hours he would refuse and we would be screwed. Good devs aren’t always the ones to stay late and drink energy drinks.
12 years ago, Twitter’s office used a Mac Mini to tunnel into the servers. One day, an IT guy found it in the closet. “Anyone know who owns this?” “Unplug it. Someone will show up.” Everyone lost access to servers. Huge crisis. It became known as the “Load Bearing Mac Mini.”
How do we change this? Anyway, I'm going to listen to Edvard Grieg's Piano Concert in A Minor and sulk...
OK doomscrolling is bad but have you SEEN the quality of the doom this week?
Was just watching a video going through some the things used in elections they brought up that they are storing votes ... as a *floating point?!* Who could possibly have thought this was a good idea?!
Garbage Collection
Surprised I just saw a TV ad for @EmpowerToday. All I remember about them were shady sounding advisors and absurd fees once you read the paperwork. Employer match is the only way it's worth it.

I wish @dotnet would just create a PDF manipulation framework in the .NET Framework itself. It's an open standard and the libraries that exist now are all terrible. /cc @terrajobst
I can handle FSU losing, goodness knows we’ve done enough of that lately, but if I hear these announcers make one more joke about FSU players needing to drink Gatorade I’m gonna lose it.
Why programmers like cooking: You peel the carrot, you chop the carrot, you put the carrot in the stew. You don’t suddenly find out that your peeler is several versions behind and they dropped support for carrots in 4.3

TFW you start the debugger and none of your breakpoints are hit. And you are left wondering WHY!?!?
Really appreciate the awesome @elastic community. Provided me with a solution to a problem that was really bugging me today.
