#hwa8 cannot believe that was the last hwa! We are almost done with the semester!
#hwa8 I agree with Patty. We should have fun with our audio and not try to please others or Ashley with our projects - I mean if we enjoy what we do then it will reflect on our efforts and hard work!
#hwa8 I appreciate that filmmaking about layers and being able to rethink r/Reality by playing with the themes of fiction/nonfiction, reality/Reality, truth/fact...
#hwa8 I think in LTMP No 2, I would like to include symbolism through the use of props or images ... Patty mentions that the fishtank in Painted Dreams represents a boundary where the person can see beyond it but cannot get out of it... I can include an idea like that
#hwa8 I appreciate how Patty mentions that good films are developed through mistakes and intentional/unintentional errors - it makes me think that I can include something like this in LTMP no 2 where I miscaption or misread something that is shown to further develop tension!
#hwa8 I am inspired by the fact that Patty performs a text to her audience and to develop her film, she lets the objects come to her... sometimes, spontaneity is key to developing a film...
#painteddreams #season2 Patty inspires me to provide an anti-environment in my lecture... the visuals do not match - yet, they are perfect in developing the atmosphere of the audio... honestly, this feels like a perfect LTMP no 2 project that acts as a template for us
#painteddreams #season2 Using real and truthful images enhances the r/Reality nature of the film because it contrasts the other aspect of the video which is not truthful or real but more based on a fantasy... this develops the tension between audio/video
#painteddream #season2 Something that confuses me is the beginning where the narrator says that their life is beautiful ... it's the way they say this line... almost as if they are convincing themselves (and not just the audience) that life is beautiful when it is really not...
