Now that the era of the scaling "law" is coming to a close, I guess every lab will have their Llama 4 moment. Grok had theirs. OpenAI just had theirs too.

Good rebuttal to Cloudflare by Perplexity. The core point is that an AI agent is just an extension of a human. So when it makes an HTTP request, it shouldn't be treated like a bot. Functionally, Perplexity is only making this request at the user's direction.

3rd interstellar object discovered? Maybe. There's a lot of buzz right now in the Astro community. More observations should come in tonight to confirm if A11pI3Z is from beyond the solar system.

Mission and vision DO matter. This post is itself is a victim of narrative fallacy. It relies on the availability heuristic to assume that “no amount of mission and vision will supersede” a big bag of money, because the only announcements we’ve seen are from the people who chose…

One of our startups found Deepseek makes the same mistakes O1 makes, a strong indication the technology was ripped off. It feels like they then they hacked some code and did some impressive optimizations on top. Most likely, not an effort from scratch

I do think R1 leads to lower training revenue stream for Nvidia vs their internal revenue growth estimates. Does that rev stream gets a boss from some other - I don't know. I think inferencing in long run will continue to grow but in short might also be a bit suppressed as…

It's kinda wild to see reasoning get commoditized this fast. We should fully expect an o3 level model that's open-sourced by the end of the year, probably even mid-year.
