Day 1: CompTIA Security+ Considering I work in the cybersecurity adjacent industry, I am going to just focus on practice tests.

BSKY will be nothing more than Lemmy. You cannot cater a social media platform to a particular ideology, because once you do, people perceive it as an open season for extremism. Only moderate platforms survive.

This is such a beautiful and profound take. "This was written by a stupid person to whom smart people are indistinguishable from wizard."

I have come to the conclusion that chatbots are a part of the worst online experience possible.

What is the point of having a ticketing system if I often forget to hit "enter". @linear should make it obvious when a text box is open and in-draft mode vs when it is submitted. The sections of the actual comment and the comments being written are nearly identical.

Is it my browser/extensions or @linear is trying to make a call to their LAN IP here for search operation?

Avoiding serverless, avoiding giving CC for free service, and avoiding soft/no rate limits. Still a fan of JAMstack. I can push complicated stuff to the backend and have the frontend be nothing more than just an interface. I might even explore no-code for the frontend.

Peer review isn’t built to handle the flood of AI content, especially as not all of it will be obvious, and not all will be malicious (lots of scholars pay editors to help make their writing better, now they will use chat). The system, already straining, won’t be able to adjust.

Anything that is "serverless" and offers a "free" tier can not have a sustainable business model. Heroku was not a one-off. I have a hunch flyio and supabase will cancel their free tier as well.

I have been wondering who even buys IPOs, considering most IPOs do a pullback after 2 weeks and turn into a penny stock after 2 years.
