The irony of #Microsoft’s attempt to acquire #TickTok: it will face monopoly accusations of merging its #LinkedIn business social network with the #TikTok consumer social network: so is this a social network monopoly play or a new platform play like #WeChat vs App Store?

#CNET foolishly tells readers to “opt out of Google Play store” and endorses 3rd party F-Droid marketplace... shows lack of technical knowledge about Android... writer Rae Hodge @RaeHodge is otherwise cool 👍 cnet.com/how-to/fight-a…

Fight Android malware by quitting Google Play and using F-Droid for Android apps
Google Play isn't the only app store for Android. There's an open-source alternative.
I am pleased to announce the Patient is in app suite. It democratizes remote cardiac care for the world by integrating with Apple’s health platform to support telehealth and the secure, real-time transmission of cardiac data directly to a patient’s cardiac team
In support of #AmericanHeartMonth, we are democratizing remote cardiac care by releasing the Patient is in app suite. At-home patients can securely send #AppleWatch #ECG reports and other cardiac data in real-time to their cardiac team. #AmericanHeart thepatientisin.com/2019/02/28/ann…
This goes back to 2012 when Android achieved monopoly status in the EU. Google weaponized the ever-shrinking AOSP opensource layer via the Android Compatibility Test Suite + oppressive contracts by tying its location services, apps, cloud to block companies is the EU concern
Interesting view of the EU that forcing OEMs to take the GOOG suite of apps and GOOG search is an issue for “tying” one product to boost a weaker one. Except, Neither Android or Google suite is weak. Compare to IE where MSFT tried pushing Windows with IE, IE being the weaker.
Google was just fined 5 billion dollars because it weaponized open source software: Android was provided as open source software as a means to force mobile phone companies to use its closed source apps and services and that's why it is anti-competitive and harmful to consumers

What killed Windows? Industry analysts opine: 1. iOS killed the Windows dinosaur 2. PC devices and Intel killed Winodws 3. Windows 8 strategy was prematurely abandoned @stevesi 4. Longhorn failure started the death spiral 5. Microsoft finally listened to Mark Andreesen @pmarca
No more blue screens of death... but the Microsoft AI will just make your coffee bitter to let you know about the problem
No chance for Windows as team was ripped asunder yet no clear app developer strategy is in place as rebuilding of Microsoft developer tools will take several years to complete.
