I wonder how many apps exist as replacements of generic tools solely because they look fancier or are marketed as specialized.
If you write code, you're a developer. Application code, test code, infrastructure code, it doesn't matter. Saying someone is a "less than" developer because of the type of code they write is judgmental and almost discriminatory.
