Today we have not one, but two exciting announcements for the @tursodatabase beta week: 1) Turso runs *natively* in the browser. 2) Turso dbs can be synced, with conflict resolution, to/from anywhere. Turso will put databases everywhere. Nothing screams *everywhere* more than…

With React useOptimistic and now this. It's the final nail in Meteor's coffin. No benefit in using that anymore.

Lord, how cool @tan_stack DB is This code under the hood: - sync all client data stored in @ElectricSQL's PGlite - local updates through @DrizzleORM (client) - any updates are instant I can't believe we're finally on the stage at real local-first with convenient libraries 🚀

Postgres 18 has been released, with Async I/O support. Previously, all read requests were blocking, but with this update, they are no longer, delivering massive performance gains for read-heavy applications! It's enabled by default on Postgres 18!

Postgres 18 has been released, which comes with native UUID v7 support! UUID v7 is time-ordered, which means there is less overhead on the indexes. This leads to both reduced reads and writes to your database compared to v4 UUIDs!

congrats to the @PostgreSQL contributors 🐘 ◆ asynchronous I/O ◆ UUIDv7 ◆ virtual generated columns ◆ temporal constraints ◆ oauth authentication ◆ improved text search ◆ parallel streaming in replication ◆ new wire protocol (first new protocol version since 2003)

With oauth at the database level 😲

With all the recent NPM package vulnerabilities reported it's good to know which package are safe and not. Take a breath, lock your dependencies. It could be worse you could be using #Meteor framework with it's own package manager that doesn't support auditing. Package roulette.

Mixing React reactivity model and #meteor tracking dependency system is hell.

#meteorjs is bad voodoo magic of subscriptions. Stay away from it. Imagine a call that takes 2s because it waits on 102 subs. But the code says nothing of this dependency.

The problem with React is that it feels like it will merge with Nextjs while it should come with React router v7. Meanwhile all is going on right track with Nuxt and Sveltekit.

Go fast and break things so that your business crashes and burn.

Wild day at Plausible yesterday. We welcomed our biggest and second-biggest subscribers. The bigger one does a billion pageviews a month 🤯 Crazy to see how far we've come. All without investors, paid ads or sales calls. Thanks to everyone who's supported us on this journey!

Another one. This one it stubbed calls to the weather API by serving its own dummy phoenix api controller and polling itself. Once it was running, it offered up ideas like adding weather animations. my god:
