In Rust: `String` = owned, growable, heap-allocated text `&str` = borrowed, immutable slice of text Use String when you need to modify or own it. Use &str when you just want to read or pass it around. Convert with `.to_string()` or `.as_str()`

Rust feels hard because it brings in new ideas that don’t match what many programmers are used to. If you come in with a fresh mindset, without old habits or expectations, you’ll likely find it easier to learn and adapt to Rust’s way of doing things. Yeah it takes time though!
