The misrepresentations involving foreign worker visas like H1B is astounding. When H1Bs are characterized accurately — and, especially, when it’s made clear that companies don’t need to seek to hire an American worker first — people largely reject them as being bad policy.
Chain migration run amok.
Why are H-1Bs allowed to bring dependents with them? They aren't refugees. If they miss their families, they can go home. There's absolutely no reason why it should be able to be used for chain migration.
