This is one of the church’s greatest sins: not forgiving others. Some call it carrying a grudge. It brings divisions, breeds slander, and has no place in the heart of a believer or tolerated in the church body. It is a deadly cancer. Read Colossians 3:12-13

In the spirit of 1776… “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God" was a motto suggested, but not used, for the Seal of the United States. Jefferson eventually appropriated it for his own seal. The source of the motto as used by Jefferson is likely Benjamin Franklin.
Yes, our sovereign God is in control–always has been and always will be. But, that is NO excuse for inaction on the part of God’s church. No more so than expecting God to dig the hole, while we lean on our individual shovels.

The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant is a parable of Jesus which appears in the Gospel of Matthew. According to Matthew 18:21–35 it is important to forgive others as we are forgiven by God, as illustrated by the negative example of the unforgiving servant.
