All public parks, including those in private and residential estates, swimming pools, gyms, beauty salons, and all such public places are expected to shut down at this time, until further notice.
Today, we are taking further measures and giving new directives and guidelines to stop the spread of #COVID19 in our state. All open markets and stores are to close for 7 days, except for sellers of food, medicines, medical equipment and other essential life-saving products.
As we make all effort to fight #COVID19, we also need to ensure that our security is improved to ensure unsavory characters do not take advantage of the situation. The State Security Council met today observing #SocialDistancing while planning for our state. #StayHomeStaySafe

I spent sometime today at the site of the tragic incident at Abule Ado. To give immediate relief and support to the victims of the disaster, I have set up a N2 billion Relief Fund to be chaired by @drobafemihamzat. The state government has put in N250m into the fund immediately.

I was at the Kwara State College of Education in Lafiagi to access the facilities on ground. It was disheartening. The neglect our institutions have had to endure for so long makes rebuilding our state more challenging but not impossible. We will do all we can to fix Kwara.#Iseya
