Christians are people with a definite passion. In no circumstances, then, can they be cowards, blind-worms, bored, boring, or commonplace. –Barth, CL, 111

Creation is grace: a statement at which we should like best to pause in reverence, fear and gratitude. God does not grudge the existence of the reality distinct from Himself; He does not grudge it its own reality, nature and freedom. –Karl Barth, Dogmatics in Outline

"Creation is, therefore, the first act of God's mercy. It is the rescue of the creature from chaos [...] The creature exists as the first step in the fulfillment of God's one eternal decree of love."

Creativity and fluency in planning an outline is the most important part of writing an essay. The rest is producing prose – which is also a significant skill – but to my mind being able elaborate an outline in response to a question is the core humanities achievement.

If you encourage students to use AI to write an outline, they will use it to write the paper. Even if they don't, you have short-circuited the learning process from the jump. Reading and organizing info is foundational for higher levels of thinking. The process is the point.
