Yup. Maxey has made great leaps, but the playmaking debt they run when he is playing point guard and dominating the ball is a big problem. It’s also why Embiid is still their best half court offensive player.
Maxey is a weak iso scorer who passes less frequently when driving than anyone in the NBA who drives a lot (both per "play type" stats). Until he irons out those issues—which are connected—he should probably spend more time off the ball late in games

It has been 2 years of bad offensive process under Nick Nurse. It’s clearly not a matter of just health. They have zero shot in the playoffs because they generate such low quality shots in half court. Peak Embiid generated open shots, that’s not who he is anymore

Nick Nurse is just bad man. Jared McCain was about the only one on the bench doing anything and he gets 17 minutes, while Quentin Grimes playing CTE ball continues to get 30 minutes no matter how poorly he is playing.
