‘vibe coding’ is just the result of AI partially democratizing software engineering. it’s no where near perfect but I see us being able to fully vibe code complex projects in the near future as models get better.
Exactly. For the current project I’m working on I’ve set up a pretty complex system for automated data ingestion and updates from different data sources but the clients and PMs don’t care how it’s done, or how hard it is to do. They just want to see results.
This might sting, but it’s true, users and clients don’t care about your code. They just want things to work. You can build the most complex feature ever, and all you’ll get is a simple “cool” — no idea how much effort went into it.
I don’t give myself enough credit. I think it comes from a place of me not wanting to show off or brag, but I realize I really do need to talk more about what I do and build in public.
