4 years ago, I interviewed @ivofelipe for a story. Ivo told me how he became a baseball/Yankees fan through being able to follow games live... all the way from Brazil, his home country. He ended up becoming a big fan, went to Yankee games in NYC, etc. theathletic.com/758085/2019/01…
Why do I bring this up now? Well, it came to my attention that MLB postseason games have become blacked out to international audiences. Which is... especially someone who's not from US... very disappointing. Making access harder for fans is no way to grow the game internationally

the left screenshot shows the @MLBTV subscription paid by international fans at the start of the season that INCLUDED the postseason within the last 48 hours MLB has changed the terms & international fans are now blacked out from live games not a great way to grow the game imo

I just saw a fucking chipotle commercial that claims to use only local ingredients The small text says “chipotle defines local as within 350 MILES of a distribution center” That’s driving from NY to Boston. Then going AN EXTRA 150 MILES. And then ship it in a truck somewhere
