This is a fantastic thread to read. I suggest everyone read it. After reading I realized my professional vocabulary and twitch vocabulary are different. I would never say “let’s go, boys” to my work team. But I might say it on twitch. I’ll work to get better. #bemorekind
As a non-boy sports fan, I close out of videos and streams once I hear this phrasing. In order to keep growing this wonderful community, inclusivity has to be at the forefront. Luckily, it’s a very easy change to be conscious of one’s vocabulary.
