turning her head away from the carriage window, the smile appearing on her sister’s face prompted her to raise her eyebrows slightly. it wasn’t often she saw prudence smiling. “we are? where are we going?”
“ what are we shopping for? are we getting new dresses? mama says i’m still too young to go to the modiste… ” a part of her did envy her older sisters, being able to go there and attend balls whenever they liked.
her big sisters are so incredibly bossy. but she still loves them.
“ prudence! it has hardly been two minutes.. ” she sighed a little at the bossiness of her oldest sister, but obediently picked up her pace and practically leapt into the carriage — half falling onto the seat with an exhilarated giggle.
“Thank goodness you’re here, I was worried I’d have to eat all of these myself!” A surprise?? She loves surprises!
