The entropy is real.

Most modern AI-based chat systems break at scale: • Long, ever-growing context gets extremely costly • Latency tails matter more than averages • Quantization bugs make models feel dumb • Retries and cache misses destroy margins Chat is harder than everyone thinks.

Grok Imagine prompt: Two brothers from a snapshot of them on their horses in the mid 1960s. The only correction to the default animation: “The teenager in the white shirt has short dark hair and has on a medium sized, flat brim, black cowboy hat.” Initially, it gave the teen an…

You gotta be crazy to let an agent change your code without a plan. You will never let a contractor remodel your kitchen without a plan, or shoot a movie without a script, or fly a plane without a map. Every agentic coding platform supports a planning mode. Start there.…

My experience. We’re hacking the LLM with simulated memory through docs, rules, and workflows that are continually evolving/learning. But this very limited compared to humans. LLMs themselves need better locally adapted dynamism with augmented vectors.

I’m feeling so pessimistic about AI today. After building dozens of AI agents for many years, here is what I got to say: The biggest challenge in building AI agents is agent’s long term memory. LLMs with huge context windows are pretty much scams, cuz they compress the text…

Must be time to sleep - Just typed in long-ish English language sentence into my terminal by mistake and sat there mindlessly for a bit wondering why it didn’t obey. What a new world it is.

This pushes up the importance and urgency of good UX, which is harder to just ‘generate.’ So, the speed of design is becoming a bigger barrier to success than ever before.

I really don't think most people appreciate the difference between shipping something in 6 weeks, beating the global competition (first to offer an agent workflow builder!), then fixing up small issues in 6 more weeks. Vs building for 6 months, and no one cares by launch...

Big issue. Security guardrails during development are critical!

This is wild. I just read these top 25 vulnerabilities report of MCP and it's absolutely brutal. Every single "Critical" vulnerability is trivially exploitable. Prompt injection, command injection, missing auth - basic security failures that we solved in web development 15…

Anthropic's MCP is a thing of beauty. This makes AI agents 100x more powerful. MCP stands for "Model Context Protocol." It's an open standard for connecting AI with data. Instead of worrying about 10,000 different ways to do the same thing, MCP provides a standard approach. •…

WHY ZELENSKY CANNOT MAKE PEACE Zelensky’s meltdown in the Oval Office began over his refusal to accept a negotiated settlement to the war. Even the Vice President’s use of the word “diplomacy” provoked a heated response. So why can’t Zelensky make a peace deal? 1) He will lose…

I’m sure you recall, we were constantly rewriting our Uber services while maintaining high levels of uptime. Another Sonos lesson is how to execute a big migration: Incrementally decompose the legacy system to carefully bring new parallel services online. Sometimes you have to…

Economic confusion and lies abound in the pursuit of power. In the rising crescendo of an election, who should we believe - and on what basis? Many will pit Austrian economics against Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) in categorical confusion. It is not either/or. It is both. MMT…

The best way to understand DEI is to separate the marketing pitch—which, I agree, is attractive—from the reality of DEI in practice. Here is how I see it: 1. Diversity: We agree that it is important for people of all backgrounds to be treated fairly. But "diversity" in the…
