Ruth Stone died on this day, November 19th, 2012. In her first book, In an Iridescent Time, she wrote this poem in the posthumous voice that will not leave you once you read it:
“But a day will come when the dead and the living change places.” (Tranströmer) “The dead are born, they do not die. The two worlds have been switched. When we think we are alive, we are dead” (Pessoa)
