The festivals never stop when you have a team that spreads the globe. This time, it's Katie's turn to get her fest on as she is covering BFI London Film Festival. As per usual, all her thoughts will be compiled in this thread. #LFF
REVIEW: Emma Stone is an alien. At least, that's what Jesse Plemmons thinks in director Yorgos Lanthimos' latest dark comedy, Bugonia. Here's our reviews. #Bugonia bitesizebreakdown.com/film-review/bu…
REVIEW: We sense another nomination coming to Keri Russell for The Diplomat. Check out our thoughts on the third season of this political thriller. #TheDiplomat bitesizebreakdown.com/series-review/…
REVIEW: Tales from the Woods goes back to the horror roots of some of your favourite fairy tales. See our thoughts on the first season of this anthology series. #TalesFromTheWoods bitesizebreakdown.com/series-review/…
NOW YOU SEE ME: NOW YOU DON’T: For fans of the franchise, this is another treat, but these movies are not for me, and aside from Rosamund Pike hamming it up to the extreme, like the others it’s super messy and not as fun as it maybe thinks it is. Hit @bitesizebreak for more.
ARTICLE: We see a lot of movies, but we can't see ALL of them. That's why we've decided to start the new recurring series, Film School, where we each catch up on one of our blindspots. We kick things off with Horror Classics. bitesizebreakdown.com/feature/film-s…
IN YOUR DREAMS: What started off as a familiar Pixar riff with unappealing animation & simple humour eventually won me over by the maturity of its hard messaging for its kid audience, alongside an emotionally endearing sibling bond at the centre. Hit @bitesizebreak for more!
RANKING: October comes to a close with one last Halloween themed Top Five as our crew has put their brains together to compile our consensus Top Five Alien Invasion Films. bitesizebreakdown.com/top-five/alien…
REVIEW: Emma Thompson makes her way to television with Down Cemetery Road. Read our reviews on her team up with Ruth Wilson. #DownCemeteryRoad bitesizebreakdown.com/series-review/…
REVIEW: It’s The Boss’s turn for a biopic, as Deliver Me from Nowhere tells the story behind the Nebraska album. Was this the right way to tell his story? Check out our reviews. #Springsteen bitesizebreakdown.com/film-review/sp…
REVIEW: The Hand That Rocks the Cradle may not resemble the original 1992 film, but that doesn't mean it's bad. Here's our thoughts on the Maika Monroe/Mary Elizabeth Winstead remake. #TheHandThatRocksTheCradle bitesizebreakdown.com/film-review/th…
REVIEW: Gen V: Season Two is here to hold you over until the final season of The Boys hits your airwaves. Here are our thoughts. #GenV bitesizebreakdown.com/series-review/…
Director Dan Trachtenberg is 3 for 3 with the Predator films as PREDATOR: BADLANDS is another high-octane action film that stretches its PG-13 rating as far as it can go. I don't know what's next (AvP, please), but this franchise is in the right hands. #PredatorBadlands
All films are art but TRAIN DREAMS, especially so. Its visuals are like a painting on screen, while its storytelling is like poetry. I admit I had some early reservations, but in the end, this one won me over. #TrainDreams Check out @bitesizebreak for more.
REVIEW: Kathryn Bigelow is back to doing what she does best: directing politically charged, cautionary war stories. Here’s our thoughts on A House of Dynamite. #AHouseOfDynamite bitesizebreakdown.com/film-review/a-…
REVIEW: The chemistry between Tessa Thompson and Nina Hoss is the selling point of Hedda. But are there other reasons to watch? Check out our thoughts. #Hedda bitesizebreakdown.com/film-review/he…
REVIEW: Task is the series you keep hearing about that nobody you know seems to be watching. Is it worth a watch? Check out our reviews of this Mark Ruffalo crime drama. #Task bitesizebreakdown.com/series-review/…
DIE MY LOVE: As uniquely gruelling and profound as what we’ve come to expect from Lynne Ramsey, but an abrasive work of art that studies a couple driven to the brink of insanity via withering love, complimented by outstanding cinematography. Hit @bitesizebreak for more.
