10,000 people paying you 1,000 naira a month for 12 months is 120,000,000 ($100,000) What can you build that 10,000 Nigerians would want to use and pay 1,000 for monthly judiciously for as long as the service exists?
Only thing I can think it is something that’s a NEED, in this instance, food.
Agreed, in this case though, by all definitions, 1000 naira for at least 10% of the population is disposable income Food is also pretty capital intensive, something low margin & high profit 🤔
These are the kind of things I sit down to think about
Funny thing is that it's more easier to sell a N10 million product to 12 people than selling N1000 product to 10,000. The effort, cost and time to sell to & manage 10,000 people is harder than you think
How about 1000 people paying you 10000 or 500 people paying you 20000? Fewer people to worry about.
I have this mobile car wash.. i am looking into.. Develop an app where mobile car wash agencies will be registered, and people can book them on a monthly bases. It would work well on gated estates also
Build something that solves problem for business owners. That’s how you survive in a Nigeria. As far as it helps people make more money, they’d pay for it. Worse case they move the cost to their customers, bump up prices 5%. I have an idea but won’t share here, but I’ve given…
U can offer a service. Pick up and drop of gas cylinders. For a constant fee. But u need consistency and a large close portion of houses.
Most products and services would qualify. The main ingredient to doing those kinds of numbers is marketing. Without awareness, it doesn't matter how good the product is.
Makes me wonder how much nurtw workers are making in Lagos yearly
Providing a service to 10k people is more tasking than you imagine sha. Providing a service to 10k people also means having to deal with 10k complaints and issues every now and then. It also means you need staff support. Staff means payroll. Etc.
Foodstuff Delivery Drinking Water Delivery Subscription Cooking Gas delivery Insurance But I'd say the sweet spot is in the N10k - N50k/month range Home Deep Cleaning Daily Transportation Foodstuff bulk buying Vehicle Servicing Office Supplies Laundry x 10,000 customers🚀🚀🚀
This. Do whatever it is Chowdeck is doing with their riders. Pitch to the estates you live in and extend. Mt other alternative is something related to university students. What’s a continuous academic related need or want you can solve for them through an app?
It’s like Uber, but for handy men & women. Book quarterly AC servicing; Order a gardener for a day. Verified plumbers at the tip of your fingers. Coming to a city near you, soon.
You need about 330,000 people to see or register on the app. Typical conversion from non-paying users to paying users is 3 to 4%... Except you plan on charging out of the door. Summary; do B2B
A satellite (not internet) live TV service dedicated to only football matches from Premier League, La Liga and Champions League (even though football license costs would wreck you 😂)
A savings app that follows the duolingo template of fun. Piggyvest is boring. Savings should be conversational not rigid. Idk how to explain sha.
An Education platform teaching people financial literacy around stock bonds and forex , with a demo to practice for 1k , or a wearable device to track stats for grassroot athlete giving a village starboy a shot at fame for 1k monthly , DM if you want me to explain better
Anything that will help people cheat on their partners better and have little downside will sell like wildfire Don't know if it's an app, offline arrangement - whatever it is will be...
But do you know what it takes to handle 10,000 customers and keep them all happy? What’s the cost of that ?
